Astro-CT Adventures:

an online astronomy enrichment course

I’m very excited to share this adventure with you!

Click here to learn more about me and my astrophysics research.

Through this course, we will journey through the Universe together, from our Solar System to just after the beginning of time and space. Along the way, we will learn to use computational tools to better understand the world around us. Click on the links below to begin.

  1. Semester 1 Outline

  2. Semester 2 Outline

  3. Textbook Purchase Instructions

Computational projects, MasteringAstronomy homework, and the observing project will each be an equal portion of the grade.

A special thank you to Dr. Marla Geha for sharing her computational astrophysics materials with me!

In 1996, the Hubble Space Telescope took the deepest image of our Universe, a 10-day exposure of a region about the size of our moon. In this image are ~1500 visible galaxies, with the furthest lying 13 billion light-years away.
